Klaus Kobec Couture Sports Steel Leather
Bought this watch new from Timepieces International.Their website price of $685 is obscene (timepiecesusa.com) I bought it from them for $159.it is a decent watch in the same way a Timex is a decent watch.The little blue plastic "jewels" on the pushers fell off. Leather band has a nice butterfly clasp, however the leather band itself is poor quality and fell apart quickly.The metal pins that secure the leather band to the lugs on the case have bent as well.The appearance/style of the watch is nice, however material and craftsmanship are inferior. ... One of the best Citizen watches with some pros
I bought this watch because I like the design and because it had an alarm and it was solar powered (never needs a battery).
The case is not thick which is very good; however, the watch feels heavy on the hand. The design of the case is that you cannot use any other bracelet or a leather bend, you can only attach the designed bracelet. The alarm does not sound loud, so it cannot wake me up or anybody else, I think. When you adjust alarm you have switch between an option of showing the time or alarm, so when you set up the alarm, the watch stops ticking and the big hands adjust themselves into a position of the alarm time. When the alarm has sounded, you just switch back to a time mode and the hands adjust themsleves to the current time. I think this is inconvinient. The alarm is totally useless. Although as it advertised and seen, the hands and the markers are luminous, I could not see neither of them in the dark. I even tried several times thinking that it could be my eye dark adjustment, but I was unable to see the time in the dark.
So overall this watch is good, but the alarm, a luminous feature, the weight, and the design of the case that it can only be used with dedicated metal bracelet lower this watch in the stars.

Beautiful, No Battery Needed, Perpetual Calendar Watch
This is the finest watch I have ever owned.It comes in stainless steel with a big front that is easy to simply look down on my arm and easily tell the time.I don't have to squint as I did with my old Fossil watch.

This watch has many pluses.First, it never needs a battery.It is solor powered.At night I take my watch and place it on my dresser and it simply leaves the second hand at 12 until the sun shines through the next day (or I cut on the light).Second, it has a perpectual calendar which means I don't have to change the date.The calendar runs until 2100 and even leap years are not missed with this watch.Third, it is waterproof.And fourth, is can be worn for any occassion.

Great watch
I am a watch nut, and I owned many many watches over the year.This is the best watch I have ever owned.I have the titanium model which is especially nice because it is so light.
This is the perfect every day watch.

Best watch in my collection
First off, I have the stainless steel, not titanium.My reasons is the stainless steel, though heavier, hides the scratches to the band a lot better.As with most Citizen watches, this watch is of high quality construction and keeps time accrurately.I work in construction and fly recreationally so this watch not only comes in handy, but it takes a beating as well.I have heard some complain the crystal scratches, but to date, I have no scratches (1 year of ownership and constant wear).The timezone features comes in handy expecially for business travelers who don't like resetting their watch all the time.You can hit two buttons and switch to the new time zone while still showing your hometown in the digital display.Shows date & time, has a chronograph, three alarms and a timer.There are two great additions available for pilots - the right small dial shows UTC (aka universal time), this is very handy when you don't have time to figure out how many hours to deduct (or add) to get to UTC when traveling East/West.The outer dial also allows you to do your time & fuel calculations though I must say, it is hard to read, and what business do you have flying without your proper tools.
This watch goes well with business attire as well as jeans and a t-shirt.Clasp stays locked and I don't have too many arm hairs pulled like with other models.Have successfully tested in water, but not to any depth.One complaint, you have to manually tell the watch when daylight savings time is.Harder to remember for those of us living without this cooky change of time (Arizona, Hawaii and Indy).

Great watch if you're careful with it
First the good news: this is a superbly designed watch. The advanced features (e.g., chronograph, world time zone settings, alarms) are easy to use and understand. Due to the Eco-drive system, the battery lasts practically forever and it keeps accurate time. The titanium version is much lighter than the stainless and it really is waterproof. If you are a pilot the slide bezel works great for calculating fuel consumption, speed, etc. The safety clasp fastens securely and is easy to use.

Now the bad news: it's shockingly fragile. Granted I'm fairly hard on watches, so the fact that the crystal got all scratched up was sort of a given. That happens to me all the time. What I didn't expect, however, is that the titanium case and band was abraded just as easily. Unlike a stainless band, it's very obvious when the titanium one is scratched; the damage clearly shows up as bright silver lines on the matte titanium finish.

If I had this to do all over again I'd get the stainless version and live with the extra weight. In fact, when this one dies (or I just get tired of looking at all the surface blemishes) I will buy the stainless one. It's a little cheaper too.

I just received this watch as a gift and so far I am pleased.I was actually just scrolling through watches on this site and really liked the look of this watch, it was sporty and classy--not overdone with 30 chronograph dials, 10 timezones, 15 alarms, an organizer, a lunar and caesarian calendar... etc.

Now that I have the watch, I must say, it is a rather large watch, but much lighter than one would think.And, it is actually quite comfortable relative to other larger watches because the case of the watch is curved on the rear to mold to the shape of your wrist.

The features of the watch include an analog and digital clock.Both clocks and show the time in 12 or 24 hour format.The watch shows the full date including the year, and there is an alarm.

The watch has a stopwatch with a memory feature such that one could recall the times for example that a runner completed each lap during a race while the stopwatch continues to run.

There is also an altimeter, a barometer,and a thermometer built in to the watch.I have not really tested the accuracy of these features yet, but the instruction manual is actually quite good and explains how to check the accuracy of these features and calibrate them if necessary.

The watch is of course water resistant.

I have only two complaints.The first is, I would like to have them include a digital compass on the watch if possible, this would be a very useful feature.Second, it is a little annoying that one has to set the digital clock and the analog clock separately (and even though I tried,the second hand and the seconds on the digital clock don't quite change at the exact same time)

But overall I am very pleased with my purchase.I cannot say anything about long term durability yet, but Swiss Army Watches generally tend to do well.If there are any problems, I'll type in an addendum. ... Read more

All-time great watch!
OK, I admit it. I'm a hopeless watch junkie. I like to wear my share of divers watches, digital watches, chronographs, pilot and military watches, oversized watches, multi-function watches, if fact, any watch that's high in the coolness factor. What can I say; watches are fun.

But sometimes the occasion or the mood calls for a watch that's just simple and solid. This down-to-earth Seiko is often just the one I want. I guess what I like is that it's both a classic and an up-to-date time machine. The steel band and case with a simple jet-black dial is a timeless watch design and yet it is right in sync with the contemporary look of the silver-tone, dark-face look that "everybody's wearing" in the men's watch fashion department these days. I really like the simple stick marker dial accented only by the black-on-black date window. This is a watch I don't get bored with or tired of.

And for reliability, you can hardly go wrong with a Seiko. I've had this watch for a couple of years now and with its quartz accuracy, I don't think I ever have to set it except at the twice a year change to and from daylight time. My experience of owning several quartz Seikos, some for quite a few years, is that there's not a lot of maintenance other than a battery change now and then and if you need service it's easy to get. But you probably know all that.

Bottom line: here's a watch that looks great and works great. Bet you'll like it as much as I do.
